Born to Nigerian parents who came to this country in the late 1970’s and bought their first home in the mid 1990s, Jacqueline has been able see firsthand the struggles that exist for many immigrants, people of color and first time home buyers trying to achieve their dreams of home ownership. That value of home ownership and its power to unlock doors to creating unforgettable memories in a home shared with family and friends has been central to Jacqueline. Experiencing the highs and lows of life in a space and realizing the ever changing needs the homeowner has, only to bid goodbye to the well loved home in order to welcome in new opportunities in a new home, can be emotional. Additionally, experiencing firsthand the financial implications of owning a home and how it allows access to equity and generational wealth has been life changing for Jacqueline. She was able to buy her first home, a modest townhouse in Brooklyn Park in 2014, and later sold it in 2019 in order to later buy a duplex in South Minneapolis. She specializes in, as well as, encourages people owning multi-family homes as a way to invest in their future while “house-hacking” or being able to live in one unit of the property while renting out the other units. Jacqueline is committed to being present and going the extra mile for her clients through their process, whatever the motivation or goals her clients may have.
Jacqueline enjoys learning about different cultures and has lived in over 7 countries! Among these countries, she lived in a few Latin American countries and is fluent in Spanish. (¡Tengo un alma paisa!) Her beloved home away from home is Medellín, Colombia where she lived for 6 months. Jacqueline currently lives in South Minneapolis in her duplex with her Chihuahua, Rat Terrier mix dog, Mamie.
